Crea-MeD offers HPV screening services. HPV is a viral infection that is always present in cancer of the cervix. However, for the majority of young women, this infection heals spontaneously.

The sampling technique used for HPV is the same as that used for cervical cancer screening (Pap test). So if you need a Pap test you can conveniently be tested for HPV at the same time.

In the event your Pap test shows a significant abnormality, it will be suggested to proceed with an HPV test without having to return to take an additional specimen.

Depending on the results of your HPV test, it will be recommended to simply take another test the following year or to follow up with a colposcopy. If you choose immediate follow up, we will refer you to a private center for colposcopy.
