Individualized Medecine
Given this view, the medical evaluation of any patient is unique and needs to be individualized. This is achieved by taking into account not only age or gender but also specific features or characteristics of the individual seeking advice. In some cases, genetic testing may be sought to adapt treatment to that particular individual’s chemistry.
Health is a dynamic balance between internal and external influences which also requires active management by the person seeking to achieve that balance. Following both the medical examination and the different laboratory and imaging tests, a follow-up and coaching process may be proposed to ensure restoration and maintenance of the integrity of the five main pillars of well-being :
- Restorative sleep (correcting sleep disorders)
- A wholesome immunity (whereby we avoid food intolerance and we treat intestinal hyper-permeability, endothelial dysfunction or disorder of detoxification or elimination systems )
- The optimization of the hormonal balance and of nutrients and energetic intake (bio-identical hormone therapy and supplements if required)
- Musculo-skeletal activation (a personalized program of fitness may be prescribed after evaluation)
- Maintaining a positive relationship with oneself and one’s milieu (stress management and meaningful empowerment)
