Metabolism and Nutrition
The microbiota represents all the microorganisms that live in our digestive tract and are chemically integrated with our cells and our body. The microbiota is composed of 10 to 100 times more microorganisms than there are cells in our body. This underscores the importance of the biochemical exchange that takes place between the body and the microbial flora. Moreover, it is now believed that the health of the microbiota is important in maintaining the integrity of the intestine, in stimulating and adjusting immunity, in protecting against other micro-organisms as well as aiding in digestion.
At Crea-MeD as part of our overall philosophy, we believe it is important to look out of the health of this very important player in your overall well-being.
